Ok, this drink recipes seems a little odd. I’m thinking the same and hopefully once I try it I’ll post back on what I thought about the drink. Seems like it would have a good refreshing taste! Let’s hope!

1 oz simple syrup (same amounts of water and sugar)

2 oz cachaca*

Half a lime, quartered

Thin cucumber slices, halved, quarted or whole (whaever you prefer)

Ice cubes

Garnish with thicker cucumber slice

In a mixing pint or shaker, middle lime and cucumber thoroughly. Add ice, filling 3/4 full, then add simple syrup and muddle thoroughly. Add cachaca, shake thoroughly, then pour all contents into a glass. Garnish.

If you try this, let me know what you think! Email Chef@CookingUpFriends.com

*Cachaca: Cachaça is often said to differ from rum in that it is made from sugarcane juice while rum is made from either molasses or sugarcane juice then aged in oak barrels. (See Wikipedia for more info and other drinks)
