Godiva Chocolate Martini

Godiva (chocolatier)Image via Wikipedia

This is one of my wife’s favorite martinis. Well either the chocolate or pomegranate martini. The silkiness of the Godiva Chocolate liquor makes this cocktail ever-so-good! Some ways to present the martini would be to tri-slice a strawberry (make 3 lengthwise partial slices on the berry, but not all the way through) and hand the strawberry over the side of the glass.  Or, drizzle Hershey’s Chocolate syrup in fancy patterns on the inside of the martini glass just before you shake and pour.  One last way to present this martini would be to rim the glass with a light coating of cocoa or finely grated milk chocolate.  So whatever your mood there is a perfect way to present this sweet martini!

Godiva® Chocolate Martini

  • 1 1/2 oz Godiva Chocolate liquor
  • 1 1/2 oz Creme de Cacoa
  • 1/2 oz Vodka (preferrably Grey Goose, Belvadere or Pravda)
  • 2 1/2 oz Half and Half

Fill shaker with ice for 3-5 minute to chill, pour out any water.  Mix all together in shaker, and shake.  Strain into martini glass.

Variations: prep martini glass with rim of chocolate; drizzile chocolate syrup in glass; or add a strawberry garnish to rim of glass

  1. Jeff-

Your wife has decadent taste! Those are two of my favorite drinks as well! I do the strawberry rim, too. I have also used superfine sugar to rim the glass. I love love love Godiva liqeuer! I am at the bottom of a “gi-guntous” bottle my fiance bought for Valentine’s Day. :( It is the white chocolate liqeuer and I mix with absolute vanilla vodka, rim with and garnish w/strawberries or raspberries… total yum-o. Although non alchololic, Marini Gold makes a great line of mixers. I have tried the chocolate, pomegranate (yum) and green apple (apple-tini). I also love the lemon for a lemon drop. Nothing says Summer in the South like a Lemon Drop (oh yeah, Grey Goose for that) Kiddos are hooked too! LOL 2 and 2 but with seltzer water. LOL they are good. most of these mixes are kid friendly with seltzer and gives them something different and fun. Not promoting underage drinking, here. You know kids love fruity drinks. Mine love the pomegranate too.

I make a Sangria with white grape juice and pomegranate juice, add lime and lemon juice, seltzer water, and cut up fruit of your choice. I use apples, orange slices, lemons, limes, sliced grapes (freeze them for a great treat), mango, papaya, etc.

sorry i rambled, you got me going on this. LOL glad i found your site!
