mannekenpisWell here’s to my first real beer review. Go easy on me, okay!? Tonight I am up blogging and twittering with some guys and discussing beer. Could it get any better? Probably! But with my wife and son in my bed I’m left up to blog the night away! Also decided to crack open a Belgian White tonight.

Two weeks ago I picked up two cases of beer and one case was Blanche de Bruxelles (Brussels White), a Belgian White brewed with coriander and orange peel ($35 from Shangy’s in Allentown, PA - up there on business). Let me just tell you how refreshing this wheat was tonight. As soon as I opened it and it touched my lips I tasted the coriander. It’s cool crisp taste topped off my night, which was dinner out - alone with my wife. I just finished one of the wheats and am thinking about grabbing another before I nod off to bed in an hour!

The image I added is the actual image on the bottle. Not sure what I think of the little boy peeing — but the beer is amazing!

Here is the real review:

The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer.
