Looking for a simple way to stay organized while prepping your masterpiece dinner, or want to prep the ingredients for your dinner party entree prior to the guests arriving?  Well I am! I am always trying to cut down on the clutter in the kitchen while preparing the recipe. I have a very small amount of workable counterspace so having all the ingredients on the counter just doesn’t work well.

Here is one way I manage doing that!

I use small ceramic/glass custard cups . They are perfect and can hold about a 1/4 cup worth of ingredients from herbs and spices to small amounts of liquid or even honey. It reallys saves you time if you measure out these ingredients ahead of time, also, if you DO have guests over, when you are preparing the dinner and you start tossing in pre-measured spices you "COOL CHEF " status will increase! Trust me.

So since probably none of your actually use the custard cups you might have gotten as a wedding gift — start using them for practical everyday use. If you don’t have custard cups you can buy some here (Pyrex Bakeware 6-Ounce Clear Custard Cups, Set of 4 ) or just save a few small yogurt, cream cheese, butter, etc containers. They work just as well.
